Get ready to celebrate Grandview's vibrant community at the 2025 Harry's Hay Days Parade, presented by the Grandview Chamber of Commerce! Join us on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. as we parade down Main Street with this year's exciting theme: "Support Local!"
Showcase your Grandview pride and the spirit of local businesses and organizations that make our community thrive. Whether you're a business, a school group, a non-profit, or just a group of enthusiastic residents, we want to see your creativity shine!
Imagine floats brimming with local flavor, walking groups highlighting favorite neighborhood spots, and displays that celebrate the unique charm of Grandview. Three esteemed judges will be stationed along Main Street, ready to award prizes for the most creative, spirited, and "Support Local" themed entries.
The entry fee is just $25, and Grandview Chamber of Commerce members enjoy a special discount of $10, making it only $15! Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a beloved Grandview tradition.

$500 Parade Sponsor: Be the first float/vehicle in the parade after the Grand Marshal and Elected Officials! Have your logo on marketing material and have the opportunity to have you or a staff member be one of our Parade Judges! Please read the Release & Waiver, Rules & Regulations, and fill out the form below.

I hereby, for myself, my organization, and its participants, as well as my heirs, executors, administrators, agents, assignees, and any other person who might claim on our behalf, do hereby waive, release, discharge, and agree not told hold liable the City of Grandview, Grandview Chamber of Commerce, and/or sponsors of the event or its agents and employees for any injury or loss that I/we should or may sustain as a result of my/our participation in this event. Minor applicants will be accepted only with the signature of a parent or legal guardian. I/we will provide full insurance coverage on any vehicle that I or my organization shall use in association with this event. I understand that any disorderly conduct by myself or any member of my group will constitute grounds for immediate removal from the parade.

1. All applications must have a signed Release & Waiver form by your organization’s representative. This person will be accountable for your group following all the rules and regulations. Please complete the application in its entirety and turn it in, along with your entry fee, by the entry deadline: April 28, 2024.
2. No throwing of candy, flyers, or any other items directly to spectators will be allowed. In order to maintain a fun, family event and to help ensure the safety of children and spectators along the parade route, we encourage walking alongside your vehicle or float and handing out these items in a safe manner.
3. No alcoholic beverages or carrying of cans or glass containers are allowed in the parade.
4. Please refrain from getting on or off your vehicle or float while the parade is in progress.
5. Entries with animals must immediately clean up after their animals (in the parade and in the staging area!).
6. No weapons, firearms, or explosives (including firecrackers) are allowed.
7. All parade entries must be in good taste. No offensive or lewd floats or signs are allowed. Inappropriate dress, behavior, or other disruptions of the parade will be cause for immediate dismissal.
8. No unsupervised youth are allowed in the parade or staging area.
9. Please make way for emergency vehicles and cooperate with the Police and Parade Officials. They are there to help you, assure everyone’s safety, and help the parade move smoothly.
10. At its discretion, the Grandview Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse to allow organizations or persons to participate in the Harry’s Hay Day parade.
11. Each parade entry is responsible for coordinating the safe return of their participants to a pre-arranged pick-up point. You will NOT be permitted to stop and unload at the end of the parade route. This disrupts the flow of the parade and is a danger to the participants. Parade entries will be directed to designated unloading streets (Goode, Jones, and Little Streets).
Violations of the above Rules & Regulations could result in ejection from the parade!
Staging Area: 2nd Missionary Baptist Church (5111 Harry Truman Drive, Grandview, MO)
Staging begins at 8:30 am.
Parade begins at 10:00 am.Parade Theme: Parade theme for 2025 is “Support Local.” Show off your crew and their creative side by decorating your parade entry in the theme, including your employees, members, students, customers, etc.!
Parade Route: Parade starts at the 2nd Missionary Baptist Church parking lot and heads south on Grandview, Road, east on Main Street, north at 13th Street, and ends at 13th and Goode. (See #12 above for unloading areas).
Award Information
The presentation of awards will be at the Harry’s Hay Days Stage at 12:00 pm. Only paying participants are eligible for prizes.
