Grandview Chamber Makes Special Deliveries on Valentine’s Day

The Grandview Chamber spent the day making special “Love Local” deliveries on Valentine’s Day this year. Local businesses and individuals could place an order leading up to Valentine’s Day to have Chatty the Chamber Chipmunk (decked out in Cupid gear) deliver a package of goodies to their staff as a special treat.

Individuals and businesses could choose from heart-shaped pizzas from Providence Pizza, an assortment of pastries from Housewife Cafe & Bistro, chocolate-dipped pretzels from Karen’s Kakes, cupcakes and cookie cakes from Ball’s Price Chopper, or candy grams with a balloon bouquet.

The Grandview Chamber staff and volunteers didn’t let the rain stop them from brightening the day of the Love Local recipients. Deliveries were made to many unsuspecting local Grandview businesses and staff. Every door Chatty the Chamber Chipmunk walked through smiles and laughter ensued.

As businesses navigate a new era of workers and workforce development and retention, getting creative in showing employee appreciation can set you apart from all the others. Owners and managers used this opportunity to show their employees some much-needed gratitude and love. Dr. Christa Dawson surprised her Premier Eyecare & Eyewear staff with a delivery of Housewife pastries. Grandview Assistance Program gifted staff and volunteers with Candy grams. Kelly Construction decided on the heart-shaped pizzas from Providence Pizza for their Valentine’s Day lunch! Crews Jewelry, McGilley & George Funeral Home, Lazer Tow, Grandview Top Co., ReLeaf Resources, and City Hall also received special deliveries from the spunky chipmunk to show some Chamber love.

The Grandview Chamber looks forward to continuing this fun tradition for years to come. Be sure to get your order placed next year to be included in this fun morale booster!
